Wyatt Flesher is a student in the WVU Parkersburg Agriculture Agriculture Program, where he’s gaining the kind of real-world experience that can’t be found in a textbook. Through his work at the WVU Parkersburg Agriculture Riverhawk Farm, he’s had the opportunity to plant vegetables, crops, and peppers, operate farm and heavy equipment, and work directly with cattle.
“Every day brings something new to learn, and the hands-on environment has helped me grow both my knowledge and confidence in agriculture,” Wyatt Flesher said. “The Riverhawk Farm is continuously growing, with new facilities, properties, and opportunities that make the program even stronger each year.”
Wyatt Flesher credits the farm’s leadership and team for creating a supportive place to learn. “We have an outstanding boss in John Riggs, along with great supervisors and dedicated farm help who truly care about student success,” he continued. “They make the farm a successful, efficient, and supportive place to learn while building valuable connections and relationships.”
“I highly recommend the WVU Parkersburg Agriculture program to any student or individual who wants to expand their agricultural knowledge and gain real-world experience,” Wyatt Flesher said. “If you’re willing to work hard and take advantage of the opportunities, this program will help you grow in more ways than one.”
