Sandra “Sandy” Hamilton is a lifelong resident of Berkeley County, West Virginia. She graduated from Musselman High School and was recognized in 2023 as an Outstanding Alumni. She is also a Shepherd University graduate.
Ms. Hamilton retired in September 2022 as the executive director of the Berkeley County Development Authority. She also worked for 15 years at Potomac Edison/ Allegheny Power and for multiple WV state agencies. She is a WV Real Estate Agent and currently focus on commercial/ industrial property.
Ms. Hamilton was recognized in 2020 as a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital, an Executive Magazine WV Sharpshooter in 2020, the Berkeley County Citizen of the Year in 2022, and a Berkeley County Schools Champion for Education in 2024.
She is a member of the WV School Building Authority Board of Directors, the BCT Bank Advisory Board, the Telamon Community Action Board, the Eastern Panhandle Fellowship of Christian Athletes Board, the Horses with Hearts Board, the Blue Ridge CTC Foundation Board, the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Banquet Committee, the Musselman High School Alumni Board, Region 9 Planning and Development Council Board, the Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation Youth and Education Grants Committee, and Martinsburg Rotary Club and Board.
